Praise and a great recipe idea!
The Wholesome Harvest organic turkey was fantastic. I did make a garlic/butter paste that was rubbed under the skin and over the bird. The turkey was basted with a combination of organic chicken broth and white wine and there were homegrown potatoes with organic carrots and onions in the roasting pan. I did not cover the turkey the first 1 hour of cooking and it browned nicely. The meat was very tender, juice, and quite flavorful. It easily reached an internal temp of 175 degrees within 3 hours of cooking. Leftovers are wonderful! Thanks so much for making these turkeys available through the internet and through Hy-Vee.
